Mažice

Mažice is a small, but beautiful village in the Veselí region in the Tábor district. The first written reference to the village dates back to 1354. The Saint John of Nepomuk´s Church and an old blacksmith shop can be found in the village square. Thanks to these monuments, as well as, a spectacular view of a small fishpond and a few massive lime-trees around the church, the village of Mažice was declared a rural monument reserve. Like the other villages of Borkovice or Sviny nearby, the village shows the rural baroque elements.
