Chateaus

Hruby Rohozec

Hrubý Rohozec was founded around 1280 as a Gothic castle. Building it also influenced the Renaissance, Baroque and Empire, which is at the castle, now the most noticeable.

The exposition is arranged in cooperation with the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. Special rooms (for example library, there are over 10,000 books, or diningroom in the form of knight's hall, where you can see authentic porcelain with noble ancestral character Desfours-Walderode) are added purely private rooms that give insight into everyday life of past owners.

The first floor of an apartment then owners lock divided into men's and women's section. Attracted attention not only in the former office in the tower with safe or original bills, but also hunting room or hallway with original shooting target, reflecting the greatest hobby male members of noble households. Ladies Room are emphasized all the comforts of modern ladies of the First Republic (1918–1939).

The second floor of the chateau served to accommodate the sons, whose were able to study undisturbed under the supervision of governesses. Amazing atmosphere enhanced by the number of family valuables, things and family photos, portraits and correspondence. historic photo help managed to return most items in their original position.

The castle is surrounded by a park with small decorative stone elements of the Romantic period.
