Peaks and views of the Beskydy

Prašivá

You are standing on the peak of Prašivá mountain. In 1640, a small wooden church was built here, originally consecrated to St. Ignatius of Loyola, and later consecrated to St Anthony of Padia. From that time, masses and pilgrimages have taken place here, the most important of which is in June. In the past, extraordinary numbers of pilgrims took part, with sources speaking of 8 000 pilgrims. Since 1921, a tourist chalet has stood on the peak, which is open every day.
