Peaks and views of the Beskydy

You are standing at Slavíč mountain cottage. The first cottage was built here in 1899, but it burnt down in the 1930s. The burnt down cottage was rebuilt as it is now. It was built by Jan Kolář, whose name it bears today. From its beginnings, the cottage was a place for tourists to come to, with poet Petr Bezruč among others to have visited the cottage. Slavíč is an important hiking crossroads, with the 40 km long Čeledná – Slavíč horse riding trail passing by. Cyclists are also well catered for, with cycle paths clearly marked.
