Scree woodlands
Scree woodlands are woods on steep hills with rocky scree or so-called solifluction. The Sycamore Maple, Norway Maple, European Ash and Wych Elm mostly grow on such extreme sites. In the herbal undergrowth, Perennial Honesty with violet fragrant flowers can predominate, while the white-flowering goat’s beard (Aruncus dioicus) can be found in ravines above streams. The rare Hart's-tongue Fern can only be found on one site in the Veřovické Hills.
