History of the area

The territory around Borovce been inhabited since prehistoric times. Before 20 ths. years ago, in the aftermath of the second peak of the last ice age began to slowly warm. The final retreat of glaciers around 11 thousand. years ago there was a warmer and wetter climate, which has changed the landscape. Spread steppe vegetation and fauna, on the contrary, other species have died out or had to wander for colder weather to S or to the mountains. Hunters followed the migrating prey and set up a network of field stations scattered, interconnected hunting trails. This period of hunters, fishers and gatherers bears the late Paleolithic (10,000 – 8,000 BC.) And Mesolithic (8000: – 5 000 BC.). Transition man from hunting and gathering to sedentary society whose economy is based on agriculture, is called the Neolithic Revolution.
