Natural Monument Bílá skála

Natural Monument Bílá skála is a protected area, which is located on the right bank of the Vltava river in Prague 8 – Liben. The area is roughly defined Povltavská streets, Na Truhlářce a hospital Bulovka. Includes two rocky promontories (Bílá skála and ships). The announcement of natural monuments was based on a decree of the National Committee of the City of Prague No. 5/1988 of early July 1988. The reason was the need to protect significant landscape element in the rocky valley of the river Vltava, in which there are significant species of organisms. Naming the area gave Mammoth Hunters novel whose author is Czech educator and writer Eduard Storch.
