Konstantinovy Lázně

In the former quarry on the Hradiště hill is uncovered solid body formed by outpouring lava leucitickým basanites. Volcanic body lies on kaolinite weathered phyllites and possibly the relocation of material weathering. Body itself has a thickness of nearly 50 m. The smallest power reaches around 30 meters just at the quarry. From the point of view vulkanologického interesting phenomena sonnenbrandu body and homogeneity by a single lava flow. Uniformity body and well developed columnar jointing, which could occur only if the setting without movement, is explicable only accumulation of lava at the earth's surface depression. Previously identified volcanic ejecta, tuffs and agglomerates at the base of outpouring, interpreted different origins, or the action of an outpouring of the soil, not the new research for bad discloseness verified. New petrographic analysis showed a representation of a wide range of alkaline and slightly alkaline series, from foiiditů over trachybasalts and alkali basalts, basaltic trachyandesites trachyandesites to trachytes. Rich nepheline phonolites, known mainly from the central part of the Bohemian Central Highlands, are completely missing, as well as subvolcanic bodies Plutonic sequence or hypabyssal alkaline lamprophyres. It is significant, however, abundant representation slightly alkaline andesites. The structural anomalies in the area belong to the extreme rudeness of columnar jointing. The columns are reaching thicknesses up to 3 m.

In the quarry to its closure in 1997 was mined many tons of stone. Basalt blocks from the quarry were used in the completion of the tower Švamberks chapel, chapel hill sheep and many other religious and public buildings in the region. In 1891, the quarry has already employed 100 workers. Lom connected by rail stop in bretislav lift. Today it is at the bottom of the lake was caused used for recreational purposes and admission is charged.
