Holba, the beer capital of the Jeseníky Mountains
You may ask yourself when the first beer appeared in the Jeseníky Mountains. The first Hanušovické Beer was brewed in 1874 in the village of Holba which was later incorporated into the town of Hanušovice. Beer was drunk from special tankards which held 0,707 of a litre. Hanušovické Beer has won a series of awards. The brewery not only makes use of its location amidst the natural beauty of the Jeseníky Mountains, it also actively assists in protecting the environment. It has worked closely with the Jeseníky Protected Area in promoting the protection of our natural heritage.
