The Lime in Jakubčovice
Basic information
The memorable Small-leaved Lime (Tilia cordata) grows near the road leading from Jakubčovice to Hradec nad Moravicí at the turning to the local cemetery. The tree was declared memorable already in 1972, it is 25 meters tall with trunk circumference 430 cm.
Matters of interest
Jakubčovice is the second largest district of the town Hradec nad Moravicí, having a long and rich history going back to the Bronze Age. It lies in the middle of the Moravice Nature Park and thus is a good starting point for tourists and many tourist trails lead through it. You can use the yellow tourist trail, get to Raduň and visit its castle, memorable oak alley and some more memorable trees near Raduňské ponds. The blue trail will take you to the Šance viewtower built in 2005. This viewtower stands close to one of the best preserved ground fortifications from the end of the 18th century. The green tourist trail will lead you directly to the center of Hradec nad Moravicí.
