CHKO Beskydy

You are standing in the Pučín-Hradisko National Nature Reserve.

An area attractive for tourists, featuring a remarkable geological phenomenon – a “rock town”, with archeological findings from prehistory and Middle Ages (ruins of a small rock castle). Together with remains of preserved forest crops, rock formations of sturdy sandstone protruding from less resistant minerals on the peak and slopes of the Hradisko Hill are protected in the Pulčín-Hradisko National Nature Reserve.

The Pulčín Castle had been destroyed during Bohemian-Hungarian wars in 1470, and was already described as deserted in 1517.
