Various amphibians find refuge in mortlakes and pools in Polanský les Nature Reserve. Two critically endangered species occur here – Common newt (Triturus vulgaris) and Common frog (Hyla arborea) that can be found at a mortlake in the southeast part of the Reserve. Endangered Common toad (Bufo bufo) occurs and breeds in the south part of the Reserve. There is a regular occurrence of Common frog (Rana temporaria).
