This protected area has been designated for the conservation of species-rich meadows and orchards with old regional fruit tree varieties.

The site is known for a number of orchid species, but even without orchids, the colourful meadows here would still attract nature lovers. Beside plants, the diverse habitats host vast range of insect species. In the lower part of the reserve, a genepool orchard was has been established.

Managed by: the state, through Bile Karpaty (White Carpathians) Protected Landscape Area Administration
Practical site management: state financed, conducted mainly by CSOP Bile Karpaty – a local branch of the Czech Union for Nature Conservation; includes clearing of scrub and regular mowing
