White Carpathians - Protected Areas
U ZVONICE
This small-scale protected area has been designated to help conserve a fragment of species-rich meadows and pastures in the Lopenik municipality area.
Plant lovers would probably appreciate this site most in May and June, when several orchid species can be seen here. Other interesting species of plants include the Gladiolus Gladiolus imbricatus, and the rare Yellow Gentian Gentianella lutescens. The end of summer is a good time for a visit if you would like to see some insect species, including the Praying Mantis (Mantis religiosa).
