White Carpathians - Protected Areas
CHMELINEC
This small-scale protected area comprises several wet meadows in the Drietomica Stream valley.
The interesting plant species at this site include the Gladiolus Gladiolus imbricatus, the Broad-leaved Cottongrass (Eriophorum latifolium), and the Grass-of-Parnassus (Parnassia palustris).

Practical site management: state financed, conducted by local farmers (sub-contracted); includes regular mowing with particular attention to the small wetlands (hand mowing, biomass removal)
