This small-scale protected area has been designated to help conserve a fragment of flower meadows on the slopes of Studeny vrch

Gladiolus Gladiolus imbricatus
The gap in proper management of the site in the 1990s, has led to decrease in biodiversity. Even when the site was mown, the biomass (hay) was often left at the site, which increased the amount of nutrients in the soil. As a result, some more sensitive species disappeared. The site was later improved thanks to state nature conservation efforts.

Managed by: the state, through Bile Karpaty (White Carpathians) Protected Landscape Area Administration
Practical site management: state financed, conducted by local farmers (sub-contracted); includes clearing of scrub and regular mowing (once a year) – after the meadow has been mown, the hay is removed from the site
