Graphite Mine in Český Krumlov
The former graphite mine in Český Krumlov is a notable technical monument of the town, opened as an attractive tour for the public. The visitors to the graphite mine located 70 m under the surface can see the method of mining and go around by the mine train. Before you start the tour, you will be given special clothes and a miner’s lamp. Afterwards, you will be carried underground by the mine train that used to carry the miners to their shift. A guide will acquaint the visitors with the method of graphite mining and the machines which were used then and explain the method of graphite processing showing the products made of graphite.
