Losí Blato Nature Reserve (Libořezy)
The Losí Blato is a peatbog covered by the coniferous forest, located 1 km east of the village of Mirochov. The territory follows up on the once very valuable Příbrazské peatbog which is nowadays completely destroyed as a result of the extraction of peat. The open-canopy stands of the bog pine wood are spread at the major part of the reserve. A very varied mosaic is formed by the cut peatbogs with various levels of land-filling, an old system of drainage channels and numerous spring areas which form the moors and peatbogs. The whole site is a sanctuary of the endangered peatbog flora and fauna.
