Huťský Pond

In 1784, the water reservoir called Huťský Pond or Jitronická Water Reservoir (according to the nearby village of Jitronice) was created for log driving on the Černá river, not far from the extinguished colony of Terčí Huť on the Jitronický Stream. Originally, it covered an area of 7.45 hectares, reduced now to 5.9 hectares. It retains a total of 56,000 cubic meters of water. The artificial water reservoirs were set up in the 18th century and provided a necessary volume of water for log driving in the Novohradské Mountains.
