Výří Skály near Oslov
The Výří Skály (Eagle-owls´ Rocks) nature reserve lies around 2 km from the town of Oslov in the district of Písek. The nature reserve was declared here to protect the rocky points of land with a relic pine wood on the right bank of the Otava river (at present already being a part of the Orlík water reservoir). The area is an important nesting place of the biggest Czech owl – Eurasian Eagle-owl (Bubo bubo). The site can be accessed via the green tourist route from the village of Tukleky from where you can continue up to the Krkavčina nature reserve protecting also the residues of the relic pine wood with an occurrence of Kinnikinnick (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi). The Dědovické stráně (Dědovické Hillsides) nature reserve with the well-preserved hornbeam-oak stand and rich flora can be found on the opposite bank of the Otava river.
