Krvavý and Kačležský Ponds NR

The Krvavý and Kačležský Ponds nature reserve (NR) lies in the elongated depressed area in the district of Jindřichův Hradec near the village of Člunek. The heart of the nature reserve is the Krvavý Pond and the Kačležský Pond along with the adjacent wetlands. The reason for the protection is to preserve the ecosystems which make up the favourable conditions for bird nesting. Various duck species stop on their migratory routes and have their meeting place here in the autumn. The botanical influence and the landscape enhancement value of this territory are not negligible, either. Fairly large reeds have preserved around the fish ponds.
