Žďákovský Bridge

The Ždákovský Bridge is a steel road bridge across the Orlík artificial lake on the Vltava river. It has been operated since 1967 and is a part of the road I/19 from Tábor to Pilsen. It is the biggest single span bridge without a tie member in Europe. The span of the bridge is 380 m and its total length is 542.91 m. The height from the Vltava river bottom is 100 m. In 2001, it was awarded with the “Bridge of the Century” prize in the steel road bridge category.
