Probulov
The village of Probulov can be found in the Písek region. The first written reference dates back to 1312. Probulov belonged to the king’s farmstead Lety, and then it became a part of the Zvíkov demesne and was connected to the Orlík chateau. The Orlík artificial lake, a part of the Vltava river cascade, is located nearby (1.5 km) the village and is used, among others, for recreational purposes. The distinctive classicistic and late classicistic buildings have preserved in the village to date. Other tourist attractions include a burial site from the La Tène period (Celts), a village chapelle, wayside shrine or the small chapelle near the French graves.
