The Luna nature monument lies at the north-east edge of the town of Sezimovo Ústí in the Tábor district. It is located in the Táborská Pahorkatina uphill on the hillside above the Kozský stream. The subject of the protection is the sunny, south-oriented hillside with the xerophilic grassy communities and frequent outcrops of paragneiss rocks which function as a sanctuary of a number of rare reptile species. The site is also notable for an occurrence of rare species of butterflies living in the sunny meadows. Among the plants, we can find Arrhenatherum elativ, Phleum phleoides, Brachypodium pinnatum, Verbascum lychnitis, Senecio jacobaea, Agrimonia eupatoria.
