Pacova Hora Hill

The Pacova Hora Hill nature reserve is located 1.5 km from the village of Dolní Hořice in the Tábor district and is connected to the Chýnovská Cave. The subject of protection is to preserve the nationwide important mineralogical deposit with an occurrence of protected fauna and flora species (a total of 73 minerals have been found here as of 2009). Since 1857 the limestone was quarried here, but the quarrying was discontinued in the 60´s of 20th century and since that time the raw materials for making the crushed aggregate were quarried here till 1998.
