Zbytiny

The village of Zbytiny is located 8 km south from the town of Prachatice. The first written reference to the village is from 1388. The municipality is also in charge of the administration of the colonies Blažejovice, Koryto, Spálenec, Skříněřov a Sviňovice. The village is located in the preserved landscape area offering a variety of leisure activities. The Libín lookout tower nearby the village (4 km from Prachatice) stands out on the hill of the same name at an altitude of 1,096 m ASL. The notable historical landmarks include, for instance, the St. Magdalene Church, a well known place of pilgrimage located at the place of the former village, or the St. Vitus Church.
