Křenovice (Blanský Wood)
The colony of Křenovice lies between the villages of Žabovřesky and Dubné, around 7 km west of České Budějovice. It is administered by the village of Dubné, along with three other parts: Dubné, Třebín a Jaronice. The population of Křenovice amounts to nearly 400 inhabitants. There is the 1st world war memorial and two chapels in the village square. Křenovice lies in a beautiful landscape at the foot of the first hills of the Blanský Wood. This protected landscape area was founded in 1990 and covers an area of 212 km2. The vegetation includes beeches, spruces, pines and, to a lesser extent, firs as well. Many protected plants and animals can be found here.
