Terčino Valley – Front Gate

One of the most beautiful and romantic spots in the Novohradské Mountains. Declared in 1992, it is a national nature monument in the Stropnice river valley. The park was established by the Count Jan Nepomuk Buquoy in 1756 by initiation of his wife, Countess Therese Buquoy and was named after her. At the time of its founding, this romantic landscaped park was called Valloncherie and covered an area of 68.8 hectares. Today, the 5 km long, themed trail goes through the park, offering 12 stops. The most interesting ones include, for instance, an artificial waterfall, Blue House and Lázničky.
