Lhotka Pond

The Lhotka Pond is located in the village of the same name nearby the town of Trhové Sviny and is one of many ponds lying alongside the Stropnice river. This small water body represents an ideal spot to relax. The site is situated near the Brouskův Mlýn national nature reserve. Brouskův mlýn (Brousek’s Mill) is the National Nature Reserve (NNR). The territory is a part of the proposed Stropnice site of the European importance. The main subject of protection is an extensive complex of aquatic, wetland, peaty and meadow vegetation communities with the occurrence of many rare and endangered plant species. But what you will be most impressed by at first sight is a well preserved, actively meandering channel of the Stropnice river.
