Vysoký Kámen Hill (Hen)

The Vysoký Kámen (High Stone) Hill is towered above the village of Klení in the district of Kaplice. On its east side, there is a nature reserve of the same name. The reason for protection is the presence of the natural blossomy beech woods on the talus slope. The site is also attractive as a nesting place of the Eurasian Eagle-owl (Bubo bubo). Numerous periglacial rock formations, such as frost cliffs, rock ramparts, etc. formed by the biotite granite of the Moldanubian Pluton can be found in the summit part. More than 160 butterfly species are recorded to be present in the reserve territory. As to the site accessibility, you can go by car or even by bus to the village of Klení from where you have to walk on.
